Hammy The Hamster

Hamster Hide And Seek

Yesterday, a hamster named Hammy was reported missing from Salt Edge Primary School. The hamster was left on his own in class 4 for the whole of the schools half term, and when the children returned the hamster was missing. It is suggested that someone left the cage slightly open so hammy took his chance to escape.
The hamster showed no sign of a forced escape, therefore who is to blame?Who left the cage door open?commenting on the school hamster's escape, Salt Edge Primary Schools caretaker Joe Smith noted “I hated the thing, but I would of never of got rid of it. I knew how much it meant to the children, personally I think it was the class 4 teacher she always seemed like she didn’t like Hammy around when she was teaching”
The class 4 teacher Mrs Halewood has also been accused of the hamsters escape. The teacher was meant to take care of the class pet however left him in the class over the period of half term. The hamster would of gotten very lonely, so there is no wonder why the he broke free of his cage.
Investigations are being taken out to see who was at fault for the hamsters escape, despite the cage being slightly open why did the hamster choose to escape?Local vet Pritesh Kahn commented on this theory in his quote “hamsters are very timid creatures and they would take any chance to escape especially when left on their own. A school is no place for a hamster and they don’t like attention, and that is why hammy escaped when he had the opportunity.”
Many people along with Pritesh Kahn agree that hamsters and any pet for that matter should not be kept in schools because it is not the right environment for them. Additionally most people believe if a vast number of schools keep hamsters as pets more will try and break out. Another quote from local hippie John Green states “animals should be free you know, imagine if you were locked in a cage you know, how would you feel. Animals keep the world going round and the world will be in a lot more peace if we let them be free you know.”
However on the other hand a majority of pupils, teachers and locals argue that pets should be aloud in schools. School boy Campaigner Jack agrees with pets being kept in schools like hammy the hamster. He noted “School pets are great at teaching children responsibility and give pupils like me a chance to take care and look after something, so we don’t just take things for granted. It has been proven in schools over England that classes that have had a pet, have achieved higher levels in their school exams!”

After the hamsters catastrophic escape and the grieving it has caused to Salt Edge Primary School's pupils and teachers, hoards of questions have been brought about on if school pets should be allowed. Yet the biggest question is where is Hammy the Hamster?

Shakespeare who was he ????

Shakespeare was known to be one of the best play writers in the history of  England, maybe even the world. he was born in Stratford upon Aven in 1564 . Most of his family were farmers so he wasn't really born into wealth. but this didn't stop him from becoming one of the best writers in history. In 1582 Shakespeare married a woman named Ann Hathaway they had 3 children a girl named Susanna and twins called Hamnet and Judith. sadly Hamnet died when he was 11.
In 1588 Shakespeare and  his family moved to London. this was when Shakespeare was starting to get noticed as a talented writer and poet. as he was doing well he joined a theatrical group called lord chamberlains men. Shakespeare was getting very successful he performed in front of very important people at the time  like queen Elizabeth 1 and king James 1.he even built a theater for his plays.......
the globe theater only performed plays in summer as they had no heating therefore it was very cold in winter. these plays could hold up to 3000 people. Shakespeare and his company built to globe theaters mostly out of old timber and wood. not only acting took place here bear fighting was also introduced here too. it was built soert of like a Colosseum so it could hold alot of people.  women were not allowed to perform i these plays normally lady roles were played by young boys. when the globe theater burnt down it was rebuilt in the exact same spot !!!!!!!!

Shakespeare / hamlet

Act 1 scene 1 in Shakespeare's play of hamlet is set in a castle in Denmark. It is cold because it is winter and pitch black. There are three characters named Bernardo , Horatio and Marcellous. Horatio isn't normally there as he is not a guard but Marcellous and Bernardo are. Horatio is here because the two guards think they have seen a ghost but Horatio doesn't believe them. However they see the ghost at the exact same time as the saw it the other two nights they did. They realise that it looks like the dead king of Denmark and speak to it. It goes away for abit but returns later. They try and get it to speak too them. As it won't speak to them Marcellous threatens to hit it with a spear. It is about to say something when the rooster crowed and it disappeared. They decide that they have to tell hamlet the dead kings son prince of Denmark about this ghost that looks like his dad...

A Winters Tale - Shakespeare story

A Winters Tale
Jamie sat there shivering. He had never been this cold before. His hot chocolate clenched tight in his hand  as if it was his antidote. Winter had never been so harsh before. It had snowed so much Jamie was locked inside his granddads cottage .Snow climbing up the walls ,  and seeping threw the door. The house looked like there was nothing there just a hill of snow . Even though Jamie loved going to his granddads  he was sick of being trapped by winter in this cold heap of a house.

The snow eventually died down melting away off the cottage. As soon as Jamie was free he knew what he wanted to do. Football!  He could let all the energy trapped inside him escape. For some reason the only place that was not effected by the snow was the out skirts of Bluebell forest  . Jamie raced down there with his boots and his new football .Bluebell forest was dark and deserted Jamie felt a bit anxious not because of the forest but the legends that lay within it. His granddad had told him of a young lady that prowls the wood every winter, searching for her father she had lost.Every person she comes across she takes something they love, they call her the ghost of winters tale. Obviously Jamie didn't believe this. However Jamie was still scared but he did not know why . Jamie continued to play football . Ballotell..... Agueroooooo. The ball went flying over then fence .It bounced nervously into the wilderness. Jamie knew he shouldn't go in but it was his new football. Jamie edged into the frosty forest . The tress jagged sharpened by the bitter winter wind. The snow as white as blood on ice. Jamie took doubtful steps  forward jerking at every sound . He could feel a presence of something, a shiver went through him as sharp as a knife. The ball was sat waiting on the lake Jamie had to get it. As his foot touched the lake the iced water turned bright blue. Furiously the ice shattered cracking into pieces like a cricket ball hitting glass .Jamie jolted back. The ball sank to the depths of the lake and that's when Jamie saw it...  something emerged from the water.Jamie was isolated. Its piercing icy blue eyes glared at Jamie . They pierced right through him. As its long pointed hands went to grab him that's when he ran .His legs controlling his whole body, Jamie did not think he just ran. It floated across the frost coated leaves after him . His heart jumping out of his ribs knocking against his chest . He was finally out. Leaping over the fence and scrambling back to the cottage. Without his body telling him, Jamie collapsed on the soft snow outside his granddads.

Tired ,unaware and completely out of strength Jamie woke up in his own comfy bed. He wondered why he was not at his granddads. As he began to wake up Jamie had remembered all of what happened. If the legend was true the ghost would take someones  life who he loved. Maybe it was all a dream and he was sleeping at his house the whole time.
"Jamie" Shouted Jamie's mother ,  nervously prodding up the stairs .
"Yes mum " groaned Jamie , he felt like he didn't even have strength to speak.
" Your granddads really ill so i'm going to take him some medicine , and how come you fell asleep on the snow yesterday?"
"O, erm, i just played football really hard, i got knackered you see"
"Ok bye darling "

Maybe granddads sick because of it ... the ghost of winters tale.Jamie rushed to his grandpas to comfort the poor frail old man. When he got there, grandpa  was in a bundle of quilts on his bed. Jamie's mum lay there next to him asleep with grandpa. His granddad had never been so sick. His face was pale almost yellow. It was almost as if someone had painted his face and went over in black pen, under his eyes.  He looked drained to the bone skinny and vulnerable. It was as if his legs and arms were bread sticks and could snap at any moment. This was not the jolly granddad Jamie had known.
Weeks had gone and as winter died off so did grandpa. The last days of winter would be the only chance Jamie got to save his granddad. He was intrigued by the fact if the ghost had taken his granddads life maybe it could save it. So on the last day of winter Jamie knew what he had to do. He would take grandpa back to the ghost. Jamie hadn't  really thought this through.
Slowly but surely Jamie edged towards the forest . The wind was cold and bitter as usual.Grandpa dragged behind Jamie like a silhouette  Grandpa could only just about move. His legs holding him up like cocktail sticks. grandpa was that sick he was unaware of what was going on. Therefore Jamie had to carry him most the way. The trees seemed to reached out to get them bending towards them mocking there every step. The pitch black was enlightened by the glistening glow of the moon and the stars shimmering in the bleak dark sky. There the lake again lay. Waiting for their return. Jamie slipped grandpa on the side of the icy lake and waited for ... it. The lake steamed of blowing into Jamie's face and then again emerged the lady out of the water. Her face was icy and grey and  seemed not one bit scary.

Instead of an malevolent face Jamie was expecting it was crying .
"Daddy, daddy where are u " it sobbed, moving its hands onto its pale motionless face.
"I know you cant find your dad ... and your really upset but my granddad hasn't done anything wrong can you give him his life back"Jamie suggested, moving closer to the ghost.
"he can only be saved if you sacrifice your life for him" the ghost compromised.
"OK" Jamie accepted

tired, unaware and completely out of strength Grandpa woke up in his own comfy bed.
"grandpa" mum cried helplessly
"Yes" answered grandpa confused
"Jamie's gone" stated mum
